Vast Technology Corp. has just announced the world’s highest capacity storage drive ever created, the Infini 128 Terabyte (TB) Drive. It is the World’s first Solid State Flash Array Drive (SSFAD), and makes it the undisputed highest storage capacity drive in existence.
We have also developed the world’s first SSFAD (Solid State Flash Array Drive), which is beyond cutting edge. This advanced memory technology is Revolutionary, Long Lasting, Easily Scalable, Replaceable and Upgradeable.
First revealed in March of 2016, the Vast Infini SSFAD currently comes in 5 different capacity sizes: 16TB, 25TB, 32TB, 64TB and 128TB (for high end enterprise users). The drives have 3 types of interface options: 12Gb/s Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface, 600Gb/s SATA3 Interface for use in enterprise storage systems. Our external Infini unit comes with 600Gb/s USB3.0/3.1. The Vast Infini SSFAD Unit comes in a 3.5-inch form factor, and weighs only 1.5 pounds. This allows enterprise storage managers to fit up to 60 Drives into a standard 19-inch, 4U rack, weighing only 75 lbs. Compare this to an equivalent 3.5-inch storage HDD 4U unit with 60 Drives weighing over 450 pounds.

VAST’S INIFI SSFAD
The Vast Infini SSFAD (see below) when turned on, actually has a heartbeat, with live LED indicators. These will work in conjunction with our proprietary SSFAD management software to monitor the overall health of the unit. The indicators alert the user for possible failures, damages or corrupted Nand-Flash chip cards for removal or replacement.

The largest SSD drive today is 15TB, Vast SSFA Drives use patented Advanced Memory Technology combined with Nand-Flash and V-Nand Flash technology all designed to fit in a 3.5” form factor size, and give us a mind blowing capacity of 128TB. In fact in the early quarter of 2017 Vast will be announcing it’s new 512 Terabyte SSFA Drive which is also currently in development.
